Whistler 4-Season Recreation
Whistler: Something for Everyone and Every Season
When people hear Whistler, they think skiing: however, there’s so much more!
All-Season Recreation
No matter what the season, Whistler offers a variety of other recreation amenities including Meadow Park Sports Centre - a full-featured community recreation centre with ice arena, swimming pool (including family pool, steam room, sauna and whirlpool) and workout facility. Whistler’s always adding new attractions, The Whistler-Blackcomb Coca-Cola Tube Park, Cougar Mountain at Whistler's Sky-Line and Zip-Trek Eco Tours all provide high-adrenaline entertainment that is easy and fun for every level of fitness.
Winter
Of course, Whistler & Blackcomb Mountains offer great winter sports such as skiing, snowboarding and snow-biking (It’s new!). Plus there is ample cross-country skiing, snowmobiling, snowshoeing and dog sledding available. Whistler made its name on winter sports, but we haven’t neglected the other three seasons.

Spring
With spring in Whistler comes the beginning of a golf season that lasts into the early days of autumn. The resort and nearby Pemberton, offer five excellent golf courses with opportunities for masters and novice alike to have memorable rounds of golf. With the snow gone, the skiers and snowboarders give way to mountain bikers on the hills, and Whistler becomes a hiker’s paradise, offering a network of trails that ranges from the easy to extreme. The tennis courts come to life and you get the feeling everyone is just warming up for summer.
Summer
Summer in the mountains is really something to experience. There are activities ranging from skydiving, hummer tours, helicopter tours, gliding or even picnics on a glacier courtesy of a float plane! The days are long and warm, the lake swimming is great and picnics are a perfect way to spend the day. Canoes and pedal boats share the water with swimmers and anglers and the roar of an outboard motor won’t break your peaceful idyll on our motor-free lakes. It’s your time to relax by the lake.

Fall
With fall comes the first hint of winter. A nip in the morning air and a crispness at night bookends days that can be as warm as summer. The last of the river rafting tours take place just after the salmon have run. For some of the 10,000 locals who call Whistler home, the changing of the leaves is a sign to tune up their skis and snowboards.
